Area X is this crazy mystery that’s been messing with scientists and officials for decades. Past expeditions have ended in suicides, violence, and some serious illnesses. Now, a small squad of women is sent in to check it out and document what they find. The biologist, who’s our narrator, is this introspective woman dealing with a failed marriage and the loss of her husband, who was part of a previous expedition that came back totally changed.
